Starberry, AKA Starberry Cough, is a sativa-dominant hybrid that was created by crossing Stardawg (Chem4 x Tres Dawg) and Strawberry Cough.
This tasty hybrid from Kushman Veganics took home second place at the 2012 High Times Medical Cannabis Cup in Los Angeles. After getting to try some, we can understand why.
The Starberry looks similar to its Strawberry Cough mother but has more of a dense, OG look to it (probably from the Chemdawg genetics) instead of the fluffy sativa appearance.

Much like Kushman’s Strawberry Cough, the Starberry is heavy on the strawberry aroma. However, the Starberry is not as sweet smelling as Strawberry Cough. Instead, we detected light undertones of diesel and a musty earth/kush smell when we gave it a grind.
The flavor was much like Strawberry Cough, heavy on the strawberries, but tasted more creamy than sweet. We even detected some hints of cheese in the lingering aftertaste that coated our mouths with every exhale. Very smooth smoke.
The uplifting, hazy effects were akin to Strawberry Cough, heavily concentrated in the head and lasted for a little over an hour. The high is extremely clear and uplifting making it a great ‘wake and bake’ strain or daytime medication to get work done on.
